Buses, trains, planes and ferries — 306 journeys logged from the road.
Buses, trains, planes, ferries, mini-buses and the occasional hitchhike. Long-distance transport was our biggest single expense — about half of total spending. Local transport (taxis, urban buses) was almost free by comparison.
Routes and prices are from 2001/2002. Many bus and train operators no longer exist; planes are now booked online rather than at travel agents on the road.
